What to wear

One of the most frequently asked questions is "What should we wear?". It can be hard to pull it all together, and at times you may feel like throwing in the towel and putting everyone in jeans and white or black t-shirts. But don't do it! Take a deep breath. Think of it as a creative challenge. Here are a few tips to hopefully ease the process a little.

1. A good place to start is to choose a color scheme. Consider where in your home you are going to display your pictures? What colors are in the room? Blues, greens, browns? If you carefully plan ahead, the result will be wall art that perfectly compliments your interior decor. Or, maybe consider what the color fashion trends are this year.

2. bright colors and patterns can be fun. In fact, I love bold colors! But make sure that what you pick does not compete for attention. Layers and accessories are a great way to add a punch of color too.

3. For outdoor portraits, consider the location and pick colors and styles that harmonize with the surroundings.

4.Choose a formal or casual style of clothing. Mixing styles does not work well (i.e. dad in a suit and tie, and son in a t-shirt and jeans).

5. And most importantly, be yourself! We all want to look our best for a photo shoot. Classy, but not too stuffy. Natural, but not too casual. Make sure you are comfortable in what you wear and that you feel your best because it will show through in your confident smile!
